Local ambassador programmes at the 2012 Olympics : promoting the visitor experience / Geoff Nichols & Rita Ralston

This paper examines the contribution of the 2012 Olympic Games city ambassadors to tourism. In-depth interviews with the ambassador programme managers explore how local government managed the volunteers to enhance the experience of tourists at the Games and to promote repeat visits.
